VGMA 2019: Sefa Kayi wants Stonebwoy's gun licence revoked after clash with Shatta Wale

- Sefa Kayi has called on the police to revoke Stonebwoy's licence to carry a gun

- Sefa Kayi believes Stonebwoy is not emotionally fit to own a gun

Popular Peace FM broadcaster Kwame Sefa Kayi has urged the police to revoke the gun permit of dancehall star Stonebwoy.

According to Sefa Kayi, Stonebwoy does not have the "emotional stability or balance" to be a gun owner.

Sefa Kayi's comments come after Stonebwoy pulled a gun on stage at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards during an altercation between his camp and that of Shatta Wale.

As earlier reported by YEN.com.gh, Stonebwoy had been called on stage to receive the Reggae-Dancehall Artiste of the Year award beating Shatta Wale, samini, and others.

Unexpectedly, Shatta Wale who was seated in the crowd decided to show up on the stage during Stonebwoy's speech and it turned into a very chaotic situation leading to Stonebwoy pulling a gun.

The altercation brought the event to a halt for a lot of minutes before calm was restored and the two were picked up to help in police investigations.

While Stonebwoy has apologised and explained that he had been constantly threatened by rival and hence his decision to pull the gun, Sefa Kayi believed that Stonebwoy's history with guns clearly showed that he was not fit to be allowed to carry a gun.

“This is not the first time he has pulled a gun out in public, the police should revoke his permit or license,” Sefa Kayi who was co-MC for the VGMA 2019 stated on his Kokrokoo Morning Show on

Sefa Kayi further urged that the two dancehall artistes should be made to sign a bond of good behaviour and suffer the consequence, when there is a breach.

“If they go against the bond they should go to prison for two years,” he added.
