- The video which is from the days when the two were friends has popped up after their brawl at the 2019 VGMA
Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, Ghana's dancehall stalwarts, have been trending on social media in the last few days.
This follows their brawl at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA 2019) on Saturday, May 18, 2019.
As earlier reported by YEN.com.gh, Stonebwoy had been called on stage to receive the Reggae-Dancehall Artiste of the Year award beating Shatta Wale, Samini, and others.
Unexpectedly, Shatta Wale who was seated in the crowd decided to show up on the stage during Stonebwoy's speech and it turned into a very chaotic situation leading to Stonebwoy pulling a gun.
The altercation brought the event to a halt for a lot of minutes before calm was restored and the two were picked up to help in police investigations.
Many have condemned the two musicians for their actions and called for an end to the tensions between them which brought about the fracas.
In the midst of the confusion, a video has popped up suggesting the two were good friends or liked each other at least.
In the video sighted by YEN.com.gh, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy were seen chilling with each other's songs.
In the first part of the video, Shatta Wale was spotted jamming to Stonebwoy's Wicked song with Gappy Ranks.
Stonebwoy, on ther hand, was seen in an auditorium dancing heartily to Shatta Wale's Hol' It as Shatta himself stood facing him and cheering him on.
Clearly, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale were close and many fans would love them to get back to those days.
