Sarkodie writes letter to Shatta Wale after 2019 VGMA brouhaha

Popular Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie known in real life as Michael Owusu Addo has expressed his love for Shatta Wale following the recent VGMA brouhaha.

Sarkodie has revealed his undying love for Shatta Wale following the recent fracas at the 2019 VGMA.

According to the ‘Can’t Let You Go’ hitmaker, he loves Shatta Wale and has a brotherly love for him.

In a recent tweet sighted by YEN.com.gh, Sarkodie expressed his feeling concerning the relationship he has with Shatta Wale.

“My brother SHATTA-WALE can get me mad ( cos I’m human ) and I have every right to... same as him but I will never ever Let that take away how dope this brother is in my eyes ... and he knows that for sure,” he wrote.

Sarkodie’s tweet has received a lot of attention as many Twitter users are commenting on his expression concerning Shatta Wale.

It has however come as a surprise to many because Sarkodie and Shatta Wale are known to be a loggerheads.

Sarkodie and Shatta Wale were known to be at loggerheads after the ‘My Level’ hitmaker threw jabs at Sarkodie for not letting them shoot the video of their song ‘Megye Wo Girl.’

As a result of the jab, Sarkodie released a song titled ‘Advice’ as a response to Shatta Wale’s criticisms.

In a later interview, Shatta Wale revealed that he was ‘beefing’ Sarkodie because he betrayed him in a Glo deal.

Thus, many Ghanaians are wondering why Sarkodie will now express his brotherly love for the self-proclaiming king of African dancehall.

Meanwhile, the tweet has come at a time when Shatta Wale is receiving a lot of bashing from some Ghanaians concerning his action at the VGMA.

At the just ended VGMAs, Shatta Wale caused a fracas after waking up to join fellow dancehall musician Stonebwoy on stage.

After Stonebwoy walked up the podium to receive his award as Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year, Shatta Wale and his team also followed.

His action which was misunderstood by Stonebwoy’s team resulted in a scuffle and consequently led to the ‘Kpoo Keke’ hitmaker wielding a gun.

The issues has become a topical issue with most Ghanaians divided as others blame both musicians for not controlling their actions and reactions.
