Police invite Kwame Sefa Kayi & Abeiku Santana over VGMA fracas

Renowned broadcasters Kwame Saefa Kayi and Abeiku Santana have been invited by the police.

Kwame Sefa Kayi and Abeiku Santana have finally been invited by the police over the 2019 VGMA fracas.

Per a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on Peace FM online, Kayi was the MC during the awards night and Abeiku who presented the award to Stonebwoy will assist the police for further investigation.

The VGMA was marred after a fight broke out between the camp of Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.

It all happened, when Shatta Wale, unannounced, went to the stage to allegedly congratulate Stonebwoy after the latter won the Dancehall Artiste of the Year.

Due to the confusion, the Ashaiman-born singer Stonebwoy pulled out a gun.

On Sunday, May 19, 2019, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale were arrested before they were released the following day.

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported how Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy were granted bail each after appearing in court over their fracas which led to chaos at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA 2019).

Appearing in court in Accra on Wednesday, the two pleaded not guilty to charges their respective charges.

While Shatta Wale is facing a charge of offensive conduct conducive to breach of peace, Stonebwoy has been charged with offensive conduct conducive to breach of peace and display of a firearm in public without permission.

The court presided over by Magistrate Isaac Addo granted the two bail at a cost of GHc 50,000 with one surety each.
