The sporting fraternity in Ghana has been thrown into a state mourning following the death of renowned sports journalist, Kofi Appiah.
The maverick journalist Kofi Appiah was confirmed dead after battling a short illness.
In a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on Ghanasoccernet.com, Appiah died on Thursday, May 23, 2019.
Appiah, before his death, was a regular pundit on popular sports morning show on Asempa FM.
His death comes as a massive shock to the sporting fraternity due to his critical stand on sporting issues.
Appiah previously worked with, Metro FM, Hot FM, and Happy FM.
In other news, the Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah has included Asamoah Gyan into his 29-man provisional squad ahead of the 2019 AFCON.
Gyan was included after President Akufo-Addo urged him to rescind his decision from retiring from the national.
Gyan had earlier announced his retirement from the national team over captaincy issues.
