- YEN.com.gh has some fan reactions to the ban
Dancehall stalwarts, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, have been banned indefinitely from the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards following their brawl on stage at the 20th edition of the Awards.
Apart from the ban, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy have been stripped off the awards they won at the 2019 awards held on Saturday, May 18, 2019.
As earlier reported by YEN.com.gh, the VGMA announced the decision at a press conference held on Thursday, May 23, 2019.
“After carefully deliberating on the recent feud between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy at the 2019 VGMA event, the two artistes have been banned from the award scheme.
"The two artistes will also be stripped off their various awards won at the just ended VGMA award event held on Saturday, May 18, 2019,” the VGMA board stated.
Since the announcement of the sanctions, many Ghanaians have expressed mixed reactions on social media.
While some have agreed with VGMA board and bashed both Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale, others have deemed it a bad decision.
