Popular reggae and dancehall artiste Samini known in real life as Emmanuel Andrew Samini has broken his silence on missing out on VGMA Artiste of the Decade.
Samini has finally commented on issues following his missing out on the Artiste of the Decade award at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
According to the 'Obaa' hitmaker, he is disappointed for not winning the enviable award at the 2019 VGMA.
In an interview with Accra based radio station Hitz FM, Samini expressed sentiments about the just-ended VGMA event held at the AICC.
The Highgrade Family boss noted that he had thought he would win the award so it was surprising that he did not emerge the winner.
Samini further revealed that he is not angry at Sarkodie who emerged winner as Artiste of the Decade.
The 'My Own' hitmaker was said to have gotten angry and left the auditorium after losing out on the award.
But Samini denied the allegation as he revealed that even though he was disappointed, he was not angry.
Before the awards night, some entertainment pundits tipped Samini to emerge as Artiste of the Decade.
He was competing with Sarkodie, Efya, Becca, No Tribe and Nacee, Okyeame Kwame, Joe Mettle, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.
Meanwhile, Samini was praised for saving the day at the event after the incident between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.
He has been in the news recently for claiming that artistes who do not perform with live band are not 'complete'.
According to him, artistes who mime when performing on stage are not good artistes.
