Baako suspects Amidu is pursuing a personal agenda in Ayariga’s prosecution

The Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide Newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako Junior suspects that the Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu, is pursuing a personal agenda against the Mahama Ayariga.

He wondered why of all the cases lined up by the Office of Special Prosecutor Amidu decided to single out the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bawku central constituency for prosecution.

According to him, there are pressing cases in which persons and appointees perceived to be engaged in corruption should be arraigned before court or should attract the attention of Mr Amidu.

Kweku Baako recalled that during Amidu's vetting, he publicly displayed his sentiments towards Ayariga and how he would not sleep until he goes to jail.

He said Amidu was capitalizing on the fracas he has with Mahama Ayariga to pin him down through his position.

"I can sense that there is a certain feud between Martin Amidu and Mahama Ayariga. because if you go back to the vetting of the Special Prosecutor, and something that happened, you may be able to understand this point I’m making," he said.
