Public Relations Officer of Charterhouse, George Quaye has denied a claim made by Shatta Wale in his apology letter.
George Quaye has made comments relating to Shatta Wale’s claim that he informed Charterhouse about his decision to sit at a different place on the VGMA grand event night.
According to George, none of his team members was told before the event that Shatta Wale will not sit at his designated place.
In an interview with ZionFelix, George Quaye expressed his disappointment in Shatta Wale for changing his sitting place without prior notice.
“People sat where they were not supposed to sit. In the case of Shatta Wale for example, he did not sit where he was supposed to,” he said.
After ZionFelix read portions of Shatta Wale’s apology letter claiming that he had informed Charterhouse of his plan to sit in the crowd, George Quaye denied knowing of such a plan.
“That was definitely not communicated to me and no member of my team has confirmed that Shatta Wale informed them of his new sitting arrangement,” he added.
George Quaye was of the assertion that Shatta Wale might have informed ushers at the event after he arrived on the night.
He further explained that per the arrangement, Shatta Wale was supposed to sit among other nominees.
He revealed that the ‘Gringo’ hitmaker was given about four or five tickets as well as directed to sit at a particular place.
George Quaye queried Shatta Wale, claiming that he did not know why the musician decided to sit somewhere other than his place.
Shatta Wale has been blamed by some patrons of the event for causing the scuffle between him and Stonebwoy.
The controversial musician walked up to stage with his team when Stonebwoy was receiving his award for winning Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year.
The incident has however led to the ban of the two feuding musicians as well as a strip off their 2019 awards.
