- Shatta Wale’s mother has warned Mark Okraku Mantey to stop attacking her over her son’s conduct
- She said Mantey hated her so much for being truthful
- The mother revealed that Mantey hated her for supporting Shatta Wale on a debt issue
The mother of controversial Dancehall musician, Shatta Wale, Madam Elsie Avemegah, has responded to claims by Mark Okraku Mantey that she is to blamed for Shatta Wale’s behaviour.
Mantey had said Shatta Wale’s mother couldn’t bring him up well leading to his ‘unacceptable’ behaviour in the music industry.
But Madam Avemegah has taken exception to that and said she Mantey hated her for no necessary reason.
Revealing the genesis of the hatred, Shatta Wale’s mother said Mantey owed her son some time ago and she went with him to collect the money from him.
According to her, many attempts to retrieve the money from Mantey by Shatta Wale proved futile and so she personally went with him to take the money.
This, she decried, has made Mark hate her so much that he faults her over every single action of her son.
She added that she has never insulted Mark before, therefore, he should stop painting her black and misrepresenting her.
Shatta Wale’s mother further said no mother can support every single thing her son does whether good or bad, therefore, Mark’s accusations are simply borne from hatred.
“This is not the first time Mark is saying this. He hates me so much, so am not surprised. But let me remind Mark that I have never insulted him before.”
“If you are owing somebody, and I tell you that my son wouldn’t lie for saying you are owing him, is that an insult?” Shatta Wale’s mother queried.
She added: “We have only met once and that was when I went to his house with my son to collect money he was owing my son which he paid …So in this case did I act correctly or not? Where did i go wrong...”
“How can a mother support everything her child does?” the troubled mother reportedly asked sadly.
Meanwhile, Shatta Wale’s mother has pleaded with Ghanaians to forgive her son and Stonebwoy over their VGMA brawl.
The two musicians are in court and have been granted GHC50,000 bail each.
