- Kwame A Plus has called for the ban of Charterhouse, and jailing of officials by the government
- He said the event organising company is irresponsible and only cared about making money
- A Plus also termed Shatta Wale and Stonbwoy’s ban a “nonsense ban”
Controversial Ghanaian musician and political commentator, A Plus, has said the government must ban Charterhouse, organisers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
He also called for the jailing of officials of Charterhouse, whom he described as irresponsible, while the company only cared about making money with the award scheme.
A Plus made the call in a video seen by YEN.com.gh on his Facebook page.
He laid the blame of the 2019 VGMA fiasco squarely on Charterhouse, whom he claimed did not care about the safety of musicians and Ghanaians at the 2019 event.
The musician also said the company did not ban Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy for life because it need the two musicians to make more money, hence, their “indefinite ban”.
To A Plus, the ban is “nonsense ban”.
“This (Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy’s) ban thing is a joke, the government must ban Charterhouse. Charterhouse is irresponsible so the government of Ghana must set up a committee that will invite these people and jail them,” A Plus stated.
“They (Charterhouse) did not care about the safety of Ghanaians and dignitaries present but only cared about scanning the tickets to ensure that they get all their money. The first thing they should have done was to issue an apology and explain to Ghanaians what went wrong but they did not,” he lamented.
In a related development, Shatta Wale’s mother has called on Ghanaians to forgive him and Stonebwoy over their VGMA brawl.
