- Asamoah Gyan in a legal tussle with his Turkish club over unpaid salaries
- The Black Stars player has thus instructed debt collectors to seize property of the club
Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan has ordered debt collectors to seize the property of his club, Kayserispor over unpaid wages.
According to Ghanasoccernet the Black Stars general captain is owed months salary to the tune of 435,000 Euros.
The 33-year-old instructed his lawyers to seize the property of Kayserispor in an attempt to compel the club to settle the salary arrears.
Gyan's appointed debt collectors stepped in by moving to the club's headquarters and loaded several items including office furniture, computers and even carpets.
Most Turkish cubs have a notoriety for delaying the salaries of their players and their employees sometimes engage them in legal battles before they recover their monies.
Gyan joined the Turkish club, Kaysrispor two seasons ago after his loan spell with UAE outfit Al Ahly expired.
He has played 17 games and registered five goals in the process.
Meanwhile, Gyan’s contract with the Turkish club expires in June 2019 and reports say the striker is unwilling to extend his contract.
