Stonebwoy's contract with Zylofon Music ends

YEN.com.gh has sighted a reports concerning the contractual agreement between dancehall musician Stonebwoy and Zylofon Music.

In a reports sighted on Citifmonline.com, popular musician Stonebwoy and Zylofon Music, per their contract will no more be working together.

According to documents available, Stonebwoy's contract technically ended with Zylofon Music on May 18, 2019.

The 'Kpoo Keke' hitmaker will no more have Zylofon Music handle his music production, marketing and promotion.

Information from the Stonebwoy's camp revealed that he will now be officially working under his own record label Burniton Music Group.

Before signing on to Zylofon Music, the 'Top Skanka' hitmaker was recording and managing himself under the Burniton Music Group.

It was until June 15, 2017 that Nana Appiah Mensah signed him onto his young record label, Zylofon Music.

Initially, Stonebwoy's contract with the record label was supposed to last for three years until it was changed.

The contract duration was reduced to two years after Stonebwoy had some misunderstandings with his managers.

Stonebwoy had complained about some inappropriate treatments meted out to him at the record label leading to the reduction of his contract duration.

The misunderstanding largely resulted from the signing of popular dancehall sensation Shatta Wale onto Zylofon Music.

The signing of Shatta Wale did not seem to excite Stonebwoy because the two musicians are competing within the same genre space.

The misunderstanding brought some sort of division into the Zylofon Music camp resulting in heated exchanges.

Meanwhile, Stonebwoy has expressed his undying support for his CEO who is now his former boss.

After Nana Appiah Mensah got into trouble following the Menzgold saga, Stonebwoy has since thrown his support behind the embattled CEO.

On NAM1's birthday, the Bhim Nation president took to social media to wish him the best in life.
