Morgan Stanley appoints Lucy Quist as its new Managing Director

- Lucy Quist is the new Managing Director of the Investment Bank Morgan Stanley, UK

- She was recently the Vice President of the FIFA GFA Normalisation Committee

Former Vice President of the FIFA GFA Normalisation Committee, Lucy Quist has been appointed as a Managing Director and Head of Change Leadership at Investment Bank, Morgan Stanley, UK

Lucy, became the first Ghanaian woman to be appointed CEO of multinational telecoms business.

She was CEO of Airtel Ghana (now AirtelTigo) from 2014 to 2017 when she resigned. She was also the board chair of Petra (Pension) Trust and a board member of Consolidated Bank of Ghana.

As CEO of Airtel, she is known to have re-positioned the company into the fastest growing telecom business and industry leader in data and digital services.

Lucy also held senior leadership roles with Millicom and Vodafone both in Ghana and a number of African countries.

She began her working life as an Electrical and Electronic Engineer at Ford Motor Company, progressing to Chartered Engineer (IET), UK. She joined the Royal Bank of Scotland as a change manager, playing a key role in the ABN/AMBRO merger.

The Chartered electrical and electronic engineer, with a first class degree from the University of East London and an MBA from INSEAD, has a reputation for transforming businesses for growth even in the most challenging situations.

The multiple award-winning leader recently launched her book, The Bold New Normal, to engineer a change in mindset, to inspire and empower young Africans to change Africa’s narrative and to collectively create a continent where everyone prospers.

Quist has been recognized for her work through out the years winning loads of awards. For example in 2017, she received the award for Corporate Leadership at the Ghana Legacy Honours.
