Kofi Kinaata denies having problems with Samini after exiting Highgrade Family

Ghanaian rapper Kofi Kinaata has responded to allegations concerning his exit from Samini's record label.

Kofi Kinaata has made comments relating to his exit from the record label of popular dancehall musician Samini.

According to the 'Susuka' hitmaker, he did not have any problem with Samini and his team before leaving the record label.

In an exclusive interview with YEN.com.gh, Kofi Kinaata revealed circumstances leading to his exit from Samini Music record label.

"I did not leave Samini Music over any problem. My contract ended and I had to leave and try new things," he said.

"My exit was mutual because there was an agreement between myself and the team and we decided I leave," he added.

Kofi Kinaata noted that his five-year contract with the record label ended as he denied claims that he had a problem with the team.

The rapper noted that even though he could not say all things were rosy at Samini Music, he and everyone in the team were fine.

He admitted that Samini is like a godfather to him as he still seeks his advice and assistance anytime he wants him.

Kofi Kinaata heaped praise on Samini and the entire Highgrade Family for giving him an opportunity to come into the limelight.

Commenting on how he got signed on to Samini Music, Kofi Kinaata revealed that he had a call from Tony Pun, the then manager of Samini.

"I was well known in Takoradi as a rapper and everyday people call to tell me they want to manage me but I did not see any progress," he said.

"One day I was there when a man called and said he is Samini's manager and that he wants to manage me which I agreed to," he added.

Kofi Kinaata assured fans that even though he is no more with Samini Music, his own team called 'Team Move' is helping make him bigger.

The rapper urge fans to keep supporting him since his music is aimed towards having positive impact on music lovers.
