A Ghanaian event organizer in South Africa Ernest Fosu has made comments relating to showbiz in South Africa.
Ernest Fosu, a member of the organizing team for Ghana Music Awards-South Africa, has revealed the loophole Ghanaian musicians are leaving open in South Africa.
According to him, Ghanaian musicians are not taking advantage of the opportunities available in South Africa.
In an interview sighted by YEN.com.gh, Ernest Fosu expressed disappointment at most Ghanaian musicians.
He noted that very few Ghanaian musicians are known or get their music played on South Africa channels.
He disclosed that Sarkodie, Stonebwoy and Edem are the only three Ghanaians that he has heard their songs being played in clubs.
Ernest Fosu explained that Stonebwoy is popular because he has performed at a number of shows there and has a very popular song with Cassper Nyovest.
He added that Shatta Wale, even though is not as popular in South Africa, can still make a name for himself there if he makes the effort.
"Shatta Wale can still penetrate but at the moment he is the reigning champion in his own department," be claimed.

He recalled how Choir Master of Praye fame was in South Africa for a show and surprised to find out how well Praye’s songs were doing there.
Ernest believes that if Praye had known earlier, they would have taken advantage and grow their fan base.
The seasoned event organizer admitted that there is s lot of work to do so as to make Ghanaian music big.
He urged everyone in the music industry to put all hands on deck so as to promote Ghanaian music.
Ernest also urged Ghanaian musicians to take advantage of the South African market so as to make money from that space.
