A businessman, Martin Beck Nworah, shared an encounter he had with a beggar, whom he would later go on to describe as entitled.
Martin Beck Nworah, a self-described businessman, recounted on Facebook an interaction with a street beggar which he considered very disturbing and emblematic of society.
Just when he was waiting for a business partner, a woman selling drinks and bottled water appeared; she put her wares on the floor to attend to customers by the road.
A man who would later be known as a beggar to Nworah walked up to the hawker and asked her to give him bottled water.
This beggar wanted chilled bottled water that was up for sale. After some hesitation, the woman eventually handed him the water thinking he would leave her alone.
But this beggar did not go after having his fill of the bottled water.
He still demanded for a soft drink.
Surprised at this defiant form of begging, Nworah enquired if the beggar had any deformities but he had none.
This beggar just wanted his wishes granted, counting on the cooperation of anyone from whom he asked anything.
