A man in his mid-40s on Monday, June 3, 2019, brazenly walked into a police station in Nigeria and stole the a mobile phone belonging to one of the female officers on duty.
The man, identified as Moses, had no business at the Ughelli ‘A’ Division police station at Delta State, Nigeria but was bold to enter the charge room to steal a Tecno phone.
He is reported to have faked fainting after he was busted, all in the attempt evade arrest.
According to Vanguard Nigeria, efforts to speak with Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Onome Onowakpoyeya, was fruitless.
But a security source from the Ughelli Police Area Command confirmed the incident when contacted.
The source who spoke on condition of anonymity disclosed that the suspect stole the phone from where it was kept at the police charge room.
“He had walked into the station under the pretence of wanting to lodge a matter only to steal a Tecno A2 mobile phone belonging to the female policewoman on duty,” the source stated.
