Stonebwoy celebrates Dr. Duncan; reveals how he helped his career

Popular reggae dancehall musician Stonebwoy has heaped praises on the radio presenter who named him.

Stonebwoy has showered accolades on ace radio presenter, Dr. Duncan, as he celebrates his birthday.

According to the 'Kpoo Keke' hitmaker, Dr. Duncan who used to be the host of 'Kasahare Level', gave him the first opportunity to showcase his talent on radio and gave him the name Stonebwoy.

In an Instagram post sighted by, Stonebwoy celebrated Dr. Duncan as he wished him a happy birthday.

"Happy bday Dr. Isaac Duncan Williams. You Gave Me The First Opportunity To Show Case My Talent On Radio/TV And Never Stopped," he wrote.

The Burniton Music Group CEO went on to reveal how he got the name Stonebwoy and how Dr. Duncan used to give him transportation fare.

"I’ll Never Forget The Lorry Fare O. I am Stonebwoy Bcz You First Called Me So," the Bhim Nation president revealed.

Stonebwoy is one of Ghana's topmost musicians at the moment as he has thrilled Ghanaians to the best of reggae, dancehall and afrobeats music.

It is however surprising that his root to fame was first initiated by popular rap show host Dr. Duncan.

In the early and mid 2000s, Dr. Duncan brought rap music alive by hosting young musicians on the 'Kasahare Level Show' on Accra based Adom FM.

The show which became a household radio program in Ghana saw a lot of underground musicians come into the limelight.

The show had various musicians 'battle' one another with lyrics as the listeners call in to vote for their favorite on the day.

Top musicians today like Sarkodie, Ponobiom were all products of 'Kasahare Level' which catapulted their rise in the music industry.

Aside Stonebwoy, other top musicians often heap praise on Dr. Duncan for giving them an opportunity on radio.
