Popular dancehall musician Shatta Wale has spoken for the first time after being eskinned as a dancehall king.
Shatta Wale has revealed plans for the youth after he was made the dancehall king by the traditional rulers in Tamale.
According to the Shatta Movement CEO, the youth should support him and the new peace deal between himself and fellow dancehall musician Stonebwoy.
In an interview he granted minutes after the coronation, Shatta Wale expressed joy and called for more support.
"Stonebwoy has been my brother from day one and I just want to urge everybody to support us," he noted.
"It is not a lie. Things happen in life and we all learn from it. We have decided to get the peace concert coming soon and it will come to Tamale as well," he added.
The 'Gringo' hitmaker who seemed excited by his coronation revealed plans in place for the youth of Tamale and Ghana as a whole.
Shatta Wale revealed that a lot of support including building a recreational center, training young musicians among others will be done by him and his management.
The controversial musician denied some unfounded reports that he was forced into making peace with Stonebwoy.
He noted that the peace concert is business as usual and they are looking forward to impact the youth with it as well.
The newly eskinned 'Dancehall King' went on to urge the youth and his fans to eschew their difference and uphold peace.
He asked them to take a cue from the peace deal recently signed between himself and Stonebwoy, claiming that peace is paramount.
Shatta Wale's comments followed his enskinning as the 'Dancehall Naa' meaning 'Dancehall King' by the chiefs and traditional rulers of Tamale.
The enskinning was performed by the Chief of Tamale, Nyeb-Dakpema Fusieni Bawa and his elders.
The ceremony which was held at the Dakpema Palace at 2pm on Friday, June 7, 2019 took place after the Jummah prayer.
