Meet the 19-year-old Ghanaian woman offered admission into Yale, Stanford and co

Carolyn Asante-Dartey is only 19 but she will make her choice of university education from among some of the best institutions the world can boast of.

YEN.com.gh has picked up on the amazing story of teenager Carolyn Asante-Dartey, who if she is willing and able, can attend Yale, Stanford, MIT and Princeton and is even on the waiting list at Cornell University

Ivy League options do not come better than they have for Carolyn. According to Pulse.com.gh, the Lincoln Community School (LCS) graduate applied for 19 schools, got accepted into 10, put on two waiting lists and rejected by seven.

Carolyn's path to these top universities began when she got a scholarship to study at Lincoln Community School (LCS).

She was the first beneficiary of the Dr. Dennis Larkin Scholarship which seeks to support deserving Ghanaian students with an international world-class education for two years in grade 11 and grade 12, equivalent to SHS2 and SHS3.

The young woman then had to move from Wesley Girls' Senior High where second-cycle education had started for her. Quickly, she got adjusted into the environment at Lincoln.

Yale University and Princeton University were the Ivy League schools who have opened their doors but Carolyn's other opportunities are quite stellar.

Carolyn is grateful to her parents and her schoolmates who have helped her.

And although she only has a faint idea of doing something related to mathematics, she hopes to make the best choice and use of her opportunities.
