YEN.com.gh earlier reported of the rescue of two Canadian girls after unknown gunmen abducted them.
Information available suggests that the rescue mission took place on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, after they were kidnapped on Tuesday, June 4, 2019.
An earlier report revealed that security officials from Canada flew in to assist with the search and rescue mission.
The security officials have meanwhile picked up some Nigerians after the girls were rescued.
This, however, is not the only instance in which Nigerians were identified as culprits in kidnap cases in Ghana.
YEN.com.gh lists three other instances in which Nigerians were found culpable in cases of abduction in Ghana:
A Nigerian, Samuel Udoetuk Wills, is currently in prison for breaking out of prison. He is currently the prime suspect in the case of the missing Takoradi girls.
Three Nigerians are also being hunted for with respect to the kidnapping of the Consular-General and Head of Mission of Estonia to Ghana, Nabil Makram Basbous, in April 2019. The police later rescued the diplomat.
Police officers in Kasoa also arrested three Nigerians for the kidnap and murder of a two-year-old boy in April 2019.
