Ghanaian international Abdul Majid Waris will not be part of the Black Stars team that will be representing the nation at the upcoming AFCON in Egypt.
Majid Waris is heartbroken after he was dropped from the 23-man squad for the 2019 AFCON.
Per reports seen by YEN.com.gh, the Nantes forward was unhappy after he was left out of the team.
The reports suggested that Waris wept like a child when they broke the news to him.
The former FC Porto frontman was said to have felt really disrespected and disappointed so he locked himself up in his room and wept, according to popular Joy Sports journalist, George Addo.
Earlier, YEN.com.gh, reported how Appiah’s final 23-man squad for the tournament.
Ghana, who finished fourth at the last edition of the AFCON after losing 0-1 to Burkina Faso, will be playing in Group F alongside Cameroon Guinea Bissau and Benin in the tournament that will kick off on June 21, 2019.
Aside Waris, coach Appiah also dropped the following players: Ebenezer Ofori, Mohammed Alhassan, Abdul Fatawu and Yaw Yeboah after one week camping in Dubai.
