Fans and music lovers have descended heavily on AMG rapper Medikal for his latest comments concerning rap music in Ghana.
Some Ghanaians on social media have criticized rapper Medikal for claiming he saved rap music from dying.
According to them, Medikal is a whack rapper so they do not understand why he claimed to have saved the genre from dying.
In a series of comments sighted by YEN.com.gh, fans expressed their disappointment at the 'Omo Ada' hitmaker.
After Medikal posted a photo of himself, he captioned "4 years ago I saved Ghanaian Rap music from dying and I promise to keep it alive."
It seems the claim by the rapper did not go down well with music lovers as they took to the comment section on his post to jab him:
@itellmymind claimed Medikal has only two proper songs: "Akoa wei kasa, apart from Give me vibe and Too risky with Derby, wey proper song u get again."
@kwakhu_adu asked Medikal to remind him of how he saved rap: "Seems i have forgotten. Abeg MDK can u remind me wah u did to save it pls."
@yung_rhyder had this to say: "You didn’t save Ghana Rap Music you only polished it and made it spicy. It’s only Sarkodie who can boast about saving Ghana Rap music..#Peace..imma big fan tho@AmG to the world."
@gadaffihassan trolled Medikal: "Go Tell those who don't understand RAP this story not we !! Dat ur amoda n sister akos no you better respect ur leaders!"
@ramires_jnr jabbed Medikal: "Let go straight to the point strongman is better then you when it comes to rap MDK you know that yourself. Let me ask you did you rap don’t let the award deceive you, don’t forget that Sarkodie still alive."
Deducing from the comments, it seems Ghanaians are not in agreement with what Medikal claimed.
Meanwhile, he came top of all other rappers as he was adjudged the 2019 VGMA Rapper of the Year.
Medikal who competed with Sarkodie, Manifest, Obibini and Teephlow won the much enviable award.
Some were of the view that the rapper made such claim since he is the reigning king of rap according to the Ghana Music Awards.
