Popular playwright Ebo Whyte reveals he has no children after 36-year marriage

Playwright and Christian motivational speaker, "Uncle" Ebo Whyte, has revealed that he has no children of his own but it is not a topic that he thinks people should make a fuss about.

Although he is known for his commentaries and plays on family life, 36-year veteran of the institution of marriage, and playwright, Ebo Whyte, has revealed that he has no children of his own.

In a report YEN.com.gh sighted in the Daily Guide, Whyte, affectionately referred to as Uncle, disclosed that his family used to put pressure on his wife on suspicions of barrenness. With time however, things have calmed.

Whyte reportedly said in an interview before Father's Day of 2019: “There is no reason why the children are not coming. It wasn’t a medical problem too. So, we have decided that we are not going to stress ourselves. What we did was to dedicate our childlessness to the service of God and mankind."

The celebrated author continued: "We have rather opened our home and adopted children. From the initial days we actually adopted children, now we are in a happy place where children adopt us with the blessings of their biological parents."

Speaking about family pressure, Uncle Ebo added that he and his wife dealt with it as team.

"I dealt with my people and told them they can’t come and ask me why we are not having a child. It is our marriage it is not theirs. So they should shut up," he quipped.
