President Akufo-Addo lookalike reportedly set to play him in an upcoming movie

The identity of a man thought to be playing the role of Ghana's current president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, in an upcoming film, has been revealed thanks to a Facebook post by a popular journalist.

We do not know his name yet but if the man and message posted on Afia Pokuaa's Facebook are anything to go by, we have a fair idea of who will play Nana Akufo-Addo in an upcoming movie.

Adom FM journalist Pokuaa took to her Facebook on June 19, 2019 to post the photo of President Akufo-Addo's lookalike.

She captioned: "I met Nana Addo's lookalike in Fanteakwa. He will play President Nana Addo in an upcoming movie."

Predictably, many were excited by this, as Ghanaians do not see a lot of Ghanaian-produced films about real-life personalities.

Indeed, that point has been made countless times by entertainment critics who wonder why filmmakers do not take our history and culture to the screens.

Pokuaa did not reveal the details of the said upcoming film that would feature a fictitious Nana Akufo-Addo. Thus, we have no idea who is behind the project and what we expect to see.

But that did not stop respondents to Pokuaa's post from expressing their views.

"Waaaw God is Great oooo they are twins but different Parents. Nana u for make sharp look am n give him a Ministerial role," wrote Sheikh Wahab Sam.

However, not many took kindly or even believed the reported upcoming film.

"Efia wat is this?u r mature in journalism.get better stories, news about Ghanaian's living without light ,roads, hospitals unused, etc." said Yabondi Godwin.
