- The court case of Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy has been adjourned to July 16, 2019
- This followed pleas made by the state prosecutor
- The two musicians were dragged to court following their clash at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs)
The court case of Dancehall musicians Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy has been adjourned to July 16, 2019.
The adjournment was made by the presiding judge of the Adjabeng District Court, His Lordship Isaac Addo.
The case was reportedly adjourned following the pleas made by the State Prosecutor Superintendent, Emelia Asante, on grounds that she needed more time to call her final witness to testify in court.
This is contained in reports seen by YEN.com.gh on social media.
According to Superintendent Asante, she has four witnesses to testify in court but was yet to contact her final witness after being in touch with the three.
The court therefore, ordered that the final witness be called before July 15 to allow a continuation of the case.
Meanwhile, Shatta Wale is facing a charge of offensive conduct in breach of peace while Stonebwoy has been charged with offensive in breach of peace and display of a firearm in public without permission.
This resulted from their clash at the 2019 VGMAs where Stonebwoy displayed a gun.
The Baafira hitmaker was making a remark on the stage after winning the Dancehall Artiste of the Year.
Just then Shatta Wale was seen going toward the stage, later claiming he wanted to congratulate Stonebwoy.
However, Stonebwoy’s camp read a deadly meaning into Shatta Wale’s approach and quickly fought him.
YEN.com.gh earlier published how Shatta Wale’s face had been swollen after Stonebwoy’s manager landed a hefty blow on his face.
The two have since made peace and reunited as earlier published by YEN.com.gh.
