Nigeria vs Guinea ended in a 1-0 win to the Super Eagles as they become to first team to qualify for the round of 16.
Emeka Omeruo scored in the 73rd minute as he headed home a cross from Moses Simon to give Nigeria maximum points in Group B.
Gernot Rohr's men dominated the opening exchanges of the match as Alex Iwobi got the early chance in the opening three minutes.
The three-time African champions also had another chance through Odion Igahlo but the Shanghai Shenhua striker chose to shoot the ball into the side-netting leaving Ahmed Musa who was in a better position to score.
Guinea also had their moments in the first half but they did not really test Daniel Akpeyi in goal despite having the better possession in the half.
The Super Eagles played better in the second half but the moment of game came when Simon's corner kick was met with a glancing header from Leganes defender Omeruo.
The National Elephant tried to fight their way back into the match the Nigerian team were resolute in their defence.
Nigeria now has six minutes from two matches and will play Madagascar in their last Group B match.
