The Association of Graduates in Skills Development-Ghana (AGSD-GH), formerly known as the Unemployed Graduates Association of Ghana, have asked President Akufo-Addo to sack his own daughter, Gyankroma Akufo-Addo, as the Director of the Creative Arts Council.
The group said the president’s daughter, Gyankroma Akufo-Addo was a non-performing Director of the Creative Arts Council.
Additionally, the group asked the President to sack all “overaged” CEOs and Managing Directors of state institutions.
On the list of overaged and non-performing CEOs and MDs are Kwadwo Owusu Afriyei, 65 years – Forestry Commission; Mr Kofi Jumah, 68 year old CEO of Ghana Industrial Holding Corporation (GIHOC); Mr Isaac Osei, 67 years – Managing Director, Tema Oil Refinery (TOR)
Others include Dr Anthony Nsiah-Asare, 65 years – Director-General of the Ghana Health Service; Dr K. K. Sarpong, 65 years – CEO of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC); Kwamena Bartels, 72 years – Board Chairman, GOIL and Mr Kwame Osei-Prempeh, and 62 year old acting Managing Director & Group CEO, GOIL.
The group as a matter of urgency called on the President to call these individuals listed above to order or terminate their appointments as information reaching them from their various offices showed that they were either absent from their offices regularly or under-performing.
