People who defend rapists have something to hide - Lydia Forson

Ghanaian actress and women’s rights advocate, Lydia Forson, has rightly called out persons who defend rapists while stating that such individuals have something to hide.

In a recent tweet on a very sensitive subject, outspoken actress Lydia Forson, has indicated that rape apologists usually have something to hide themselves.

Despite the needless backlash she receives from people for exercising her right to speak on issues, the Ghanaian actress does not hesitate to voice out on very critical national and social subjects.

Lydia Forson's latest tweets addresses rape apologists.

‘‘People who support rapists are hiding something themselves. They defend them in hopes that their own sins won’t be brought to light. But you see, you can’t hide in the dark forever,’’ her tweet read.

A later tweet also addressed people's paradigms or mindsets that make it easy for people to normalise rape and defend it.

These mindsets are sadly entrenched by the cultural, social, political, economical, entertainment systems, including other factors.
