AFCON '19: Gyan, Kwadwo Asamoah benched against Guinea Bissau

- Kwesi Appiah has named his starting XI against Guinea-Bissau

- Ghana will play Guinea-Bissau in Group F final game

Head coach of Black Stars Kwesi Appiah has named his starting XI ahead of Group F final game against Guinea Bissau in the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) on Tuesday, July 2, 2019.

Coach Appiah has handed starting roles to Kwabena Owusu and Samuel Owusu ahead of Ghana's crucial game.

In a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on Citisportsonline.com, midfielder, Kwadwo Asamoah who started the last game against Cameroon after missing the first game against Benin, has been left on the bench.

Kwabena and Samuel impressed from the bench when they came on against Cameroon and both have now been rewarded with starting roles.

There’s also a debut start for Genk defender, Joseph Aidoo, who partners the returning John Boye at center back following the suspension to Kasim Nuhu and injury to Jonathan Mensah.

Ghana XI vs Guinea Bissau: Richard Ofori (GK), Andy Yiadom, Joseph Aidoo, John Boye, Baba Rahman, Mubarak Wakaso, Thomas Partey, Andre Dede Ayew (C), Jordan Ayew, Kwabena Owusu, Samuel Owusu.

The official kick off time is 4pm Ghana time and 6pm Egypt time.

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported a story of how the Black Stars will be missing the services of two key players ahead of Guinea-Bissau game.

Christian Atsu and Jonathan Mensah were ruled out due to their respective injuries.
