Popular musician Wendy Shay has apologized to ex-president Kufuor over the viral photo that received a lot of criticisms and trolls from social media users.
Wendy Shay has apologized to ex-president John Agyekum Kufuor over a recent photo that the musician took with the ex-president.
The 'Uber Driver' hitmaker said she was sorry for uploading a photo that seemed to have resulted in a brouhaha on social media.
In an Instagram post that was sighted by YEN.com.gh on the page of Wendy Shay, she rendered an unqualified apology to the former first man of Ghana.
"On the 4th of July, 2019,I posted an image of myself and His Excellency Former President John Agyekum Kuffour on my social media timeline," she wrote.
"The image I posted went viral on social media for the wrong reasons and I will wish to render an unqualified apology to His Excellency," she added.
The singer went on to render an apology to the Management of the Youth Employment Agency since it was through their agency that she met with the former president.
Wendy Shay revealed that the photo was taken when she and her fellow Youth Employment Agency Ambassadors paid an official visit to the former president.
"I had no intention of bringing his good image into any public disrepute. I would wish to apologize to the general public as well with most of the comments being directed to my outfit," she stated.
The Rufftown Records artiste claimed that she is a young lady who is still learning so she should be pardoned for posting the photo.
Her comments followed a photo of herself and former president Kufuor that went viral on social media with some claiming she was tempting the former head of state.
The photo caused a stir on social media because in the photo, it seemed as if the former president was looking at her chest.
