Premier League giants Manchester United have announced that Brazilian football star Andreas Pereira has signed a new deal at Old Trafford which will make him stay until 2023.

The 23-year-old midfielder enjoyed his youth career at Manchester United academy seven years ago and went on to play for PSV before making a return.

Pereira also spent two season-long loan spells in Spain with Getafe and Valencia and has made 35 appearances for Manchester United.

“I have spent so long in Manchester that I now regard the city and the club as my home and I’m extremely happy to continue my career here.

''The manager has shown great faith in me and I can’t wait to get this campaign started under him.

“We know that we all have to work hard and that started on day one of pre-season. I will be doing everything I can to help us perform the way we need to, this season and beyond.

''I also want to thank my family for the trust they have in me and God for the opportunity he has given me.'' he told Manchester United website.

Earlier, YEN.com.gh had reported how former Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera sealed a five year deal with French League champions Paris Saint Germain.

The Spaniard parted ways with the Red Devils at the end of last season at the expiration of his contract at Old Trafford.

He however joined the Parisians as a free agent meaning the Premier league club failed to make any money on the player.
