Ahafo NPP regional chairman Francis Opoku Sarfo dies in gory accident

The regional chairman of the governing NPP in the Ahafo region Francis Opoku Sarfo has been confirmed dead.

Sarfo died in motor accident at Banahene, a village in the region, a police report has confirmed.

In a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on Myjoyonline.com, another person, Salifu Musah also died while two others have been hospitalized at the St. Elizabeth Catholic hospital in Hwidiem in Asutifi district of the region.

The 50-years old NPP regional chairman was driving a Toyota Land Cruiser with registration number GT 3150-17 from Achtensua to Hwidem when the accident occurred at a section of the road at Banahene.

He died on arrival at the St. Elizabeth Catholic Hospital.

In other news, an Army officer has found himself in trouble after a video of him airing his views on the construction of a new parliamentary chamber went viral.

It has been alleged that the Ghana Armed Forces Command has allegedly locked up one of their officers who criticized parliamentarians over their decision to construct a new chamber.
