My husband is respectful, he cannot insult my mother - Becca

Popular singer Becca known in real life as Rebecca Acheampong has debunked allegations by her mother that her husband Sanni Tobi insulted her by calling her a witch.

According to the singer, her husband is a respectful man so she does not think he can open his mouth to insult her mother.

In an interview on Accra-based radio station Starr FM, Becca expressed disappointment at the allegation that her husband called her mother a witch.

"My husband is a very respectful man and I don’t think my husband will ever open his mouth and insult my mother," she said.

"He knows how much I love and respect my mother. Probably there’s misunderstanding somewhere," she added.

Becca further jabbed Ghanaians who are in one way or the other insulting her mother for the allegations made against her.

She cautioned that people should desist from throwing jabs at her mother since they will solve the issue at home.

Her comments followed an allegation made by Becca's mother Madam Julie Yiadom-Oti that Sanni Tobi does not respect her.

According to Madam Julie, Tobi disrespected her in several instances and went on to tag her a witch.

Madam Julie noted that Tobi convinced Becca to stop her from seeing their newborn baby.

She lamented about the hostile attitude being shown to her by Sanni Tobi since he got married to Becca.

The singer's mother came under heavy criticisms from scores of Ghanaians for coming out to make such allegations.

Comedienne Afia Schwar was one of the people who took Becca's mother to the cleaners over her allegations.
