President Akufo-Addo has expressed his disappointment following the Black Stars’ exit from the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
The Black Stars failed to go past Tunisia after losing 5-4 on penalties following a 1-1 draw after 120 minutes of football.
As Ghanaians are weeping over the team’s loss, so is the first gentle of the land.
Following the shocking loss, Akufo-Addo took to Twitter to react by revealing his frustration.
According to Akufo-Addo, he is gutted by the team’s exit from the ongoing tournament.
He believed that the team will bounce back even stronger, and make the nation proud again.
“Like most Ghanaians, I am gutted by the exit of the Black Stars at AFCON 2019. I wish the team better luck next time. I am confident they will bounce back even stronger, and make all of us proud once again."
With loss, Ghana would have to wait for another two years before aiming to end their trophy drought.
