Angry Ghanaian asks Coach Kwesi Appiah to resign after AFCON defeat

- A Ghanaian man has expressed his fury at Coach Kwesi Appiah after Ghana Black Stars was booted out of the AFCON 2019 tournament

- He asked Kwesi Appiah to resign immediately before flying back to Ghana from Egypt

- He threatened that if Kwesi Appiah does not resign, he will be assaulted at the airport

An angry Ghanaian has threatened Coach Kwesi Appiah following Black Stars' exit from the on-going Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

According to the man with the handle @kwa_bena1, Kwesi Appiah should announce his resignation before entering the country.

In a comment sighted by YEN.com.gh, the Ghanaian expressed his anger under a post by dancehall muscian Stonebwoy.

Stonebwoy had posted a photo of his tweet which reads "WAKASO my man of the match!!! Ghana. The loss Pain me Waaaa but my love for the Blackstars And country Still Up!!! Give Thanks To The almighty Same Way!!!"

In reply to the post, @kwa_bena1 wrote "The foolish coach must resign at Egypt before getting to this country . Else we will meet them at the airport with Stones."

The reply by the Instagram user depicted that he is furious at Coach Kwesi Appiah for the team's poor show at the tournament.

Other Ghanaians also took to the comment section of Stonebwoy's post to express their anger at the team for losing out on qualifying for the next round.

Their agitation towards Kwesi Appiah's resignation came after the Ghana Black Stars lost to Tunisia through a penalty kick-out.

Tunisia won 5-4 on penalties against Ghana after Caleb Ekuban failed to score his penalty kick when the other four players scored theirs.

Meanwhile, popular dancehall musician Shatta Wale has given Ekuban a new name following his penalty miss.

In a video that Shatta Wale posted on his Twitter page, he announced that Ekuban's new name is "Ekuban Banku."
