Shatta Wale insults coach Kwesi Appiah and Black Stars players over AFCON loss to Tunisia

Dancehall music star Shatta Wale descended heavily on Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah as the Black Stars failed to progress to the next round of the ongoing 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON 2019) in Egypt.

The Black Stars were eliminated from the competition after a 5-4 loss on penalties to the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in their round of 16 encounter at the Ismailia Stadium on Monday, July 8, 2019.

The Stars had played out a 1-1 draw with the Tunisians after extra-time. When it came to the penalty shootout, young striker Caleb Ekuban missed the third kick for Ghana.

Shatta Wale who happened to be one of the many Ghanaians disappointed in the performance team blamed it on the coach and th players.

In a video sighted by, the outspoken Shatta Wale could not hide frustration and anger as he went on attack against Kwesi Appiah and his boys.

Speaking in Ga, Shatta Wale insulted the coach and players using unprintable words to describe them.

Shatta Wale's main issue was with Appiah's refusal to make changes on time while Ghana was down to the Tunisians.

The video of his outburst has since gone viral.

Meanwhile, team captain Dede Ayew has asked Ghanaians not to blame anybody but him for the Black Stars' early exit.

According to him, he takes full responsibility as the captain.
