Road caves in exactly 6 months after construction

- Roads have become a necessary part of infrastructure that is needed in most communities

- In the Abrepo community, this need was met about 6 months ago

- The road has however not lasted more than the months mentioned

Information reaching YEN.com.gh has it that a road constructed in a town called Abrepo in the Bantama constituency, located right after Kumasi Girls High has been opened up.

In a Facebook post sighted by YEN.com.gh some portions of the road had opened up making it look as if an earthquake had occured in that area.

Photos from the affected road would have could pose as a death trap to motorists and pedestrains who would use the road oblivious of what has happened.

Social media users have expressed anger as to how contractors charged for their work and yet delivered abysmally.

Akosua said upon an enquiry, excessive heat coupled with the wrong asphalt used on the road caused it to cave in.

Kwaku just wanted to find out who the contractor of the project was.

Maame believes the opening on the road can't be caused by anything other than an earthquake.

Sankofa said it is a shoddy engineering work and not an earthquake as others see it to be.

Sirhwaa said that is the route to my house.

Barima said that happens when jobs are given to unqualified persons.

However, Member of Parliament (MP) for Bantama Constituency, Daniel Okyem Aboagye was recently in the news when he told his constituents, particularly delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to always look out for resourceful individuals to represent them in legislation processes.

He added that if they wished to see progress in the area, they should heed to his advise
