Beauty queen Sally Akua Amoakowaa Mensah, popularly known as Akua GMB, is undoubtedly one of the most successful ladies among her compatriots.

After winning the TV3 Ghana's Most Beautiful (GMB) crown in 2011, Akua GMB has come to establish herself as not only a beauty queen but a corporate woman and an entrepreneur.

Currently, she is the general manager of Angel TV and has interests in ventures like the Miss Golden Stool and others.

While her role at Angel TV may be largely due to the fact that she is married to the owner of Angel Broadcasting, Dr Kwaku Oteng of Adonko fame, she is playing it very well.

And the benefits of being married to one of Ghana's topmost business moguls is not only limited to working in one of his companies but living in luxury.

Akua GMB married Dr Oteng not long after winning the GMB crown.

Sometime in November 2018, there were numerous reports that the marriage between Akua and Dr Oteng had broken down.

Coming just a few days after Dr Oteng threw a lavish party for Akua on her birthday, the breakup shocked many people.

But Akua seemed to have confirmed the divorce through a social media post leading to more rumours that her husband was planning to take away all the properties he had given her.

However, Akua came back to deny the rumours and nothing has since been heard about the divorce.

Not long after her denial, Akua GMB came out to announce the birth of a baby girl in April.

The baby girl is the third child with Dr Oteng.

She recently resumed work after going on maternity leave.
