- Yaa Dapaah is challenging stereotypes in Ghana by taking on a male-dominated profession
- She has decided to employ herself despite many complains of unavailable jobs
- The hardworking woman is into customised services and would show up to get the job done
YEN.com.gh has sighted an inspiring video of a middle-aged Ghanaian woman who as part of ways to make ends meet, rides a tricycle from house to house to sweep and collect rubbish.
In recent times a lot of Ghanaians have been complaining of the unavailability of jobs and how hard it is to survive with the current economic terrain in the country.
The woman, Yaa Dapaah, has defied all the odds by deciding to do a job that it is perceived to be for men due to the foul smelling stench and how ‘disgusting’ and dirty people see the job to be.
In the video, she was sighted saying anyone who needed her services, could call her on 020 2727569, and she would show up at their door step to get the job done.
Godfred said this is an example for most people to unite and tackle the issues relating to sanitation.
Frank was simply impressed by her work.
Linda said she hopes women would emulate her.
Eugene was impressed but cautioned her to be safe.
Mohammed was impressed about how another woman was helping her get the attention.
Danny said she should employ girls who sell their bodies to make money.
