Ghanaian sensation Shatta Wale has taken rapper Sarkodie to the cleaners following his latest feature with American singer and songwriter, Beyoncé.
On Tuesday, July 16, 2019, news went viral after Shatta Wale’s name popped up on the tracklist of Beyoncé’s album.
Following confirmation of the news, Stonebwoy, Samini, Sarkodie and M.anifest took to their social media handles to congratulate the controversial singer.
Shatta Wale reacted to all the artistes except Sarkodie who was once his close friend.
However, Shatta Wale has revealed why he decided to snub Sarkodie after the latter congratulated him for being featured on Beyonce’s album for the remake of the Lion King movie.
According to Shatta Wale in an interview on Zylofon FM, Sarkodie always sees himself as the only biggest artiste in the music industry.
“Advice-Advice, he should advise himself and get some of these top collaborations. No man is perfect, Sarkodie shouldn’t be seeing himself as a big boy, he’s a hypocrite. I didn’t retweet or replied his Congratulatory tweet because I know he did that just for hype, it wasn’t from his heart.”
Earlier, YEN.com.gh, reported a story of American singer Beyoncé opened up about her latest project which features many African music stars including Ghana’s dancehall superstar Shatta Wale.
According to the American singer, she saw the Lion King album as a letter to Africa and thus wanted to make it authentic.
To achieve this, Beyoncé decided to feature the best artistes from the continent to give it the feel she wanted.
