Beyoncé drops Lion King song featuring Shatta Wale (video)

- Beyoncé has released her much-anticipated Lion King: The Gift, an album curated for the remake of the The Lion King movie

- The album features Shatta Wale and other African stars including Wizkid, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage and others

- The release coincides with the premiere of The Lion King movie across the world

Beyoncé's song which features Ghana's dancehall superstar Shatta Wale has finally been released.

As earlier reported Beyoncé curated two albums featuring international artistes for the Lion King movie which are called Spirit and The Gift.

It is on The Gift album which has Beyoncé featuring Shatta Wale on a song titled Already.

The American singer announced on Tuesday that she will be releasing the albums on Friday, July 19, 2019, to coincide with the world premiere of the movie.

Since the announcement, fans and critics have been debating and wondering how the song was going to be like.

From what YEN.com.gh has listened to, the Already song which talks about a king is really good and Shatta Wale did not disappoint as many people feared.

Made in African style, the beat suited Shatta Wale's style and he delivered a good performance.

At part of the song has Beyoncé singing ‘king already, my baby you know it … shine already, it’s time already’ while Shatta Wale responds with ‘royalty says don’t you know know know.'

The album which also features other African stars including Wikid, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Mr Eazi, Tekno, and Yemi Alade is available on Apple Music.

Meanwhile, Beyoncé has opened up about her album explaining why she chose the musicians she featured.

According to the American singer, she saw the Lion King album as a letter to Africa and thus wanted to make it authentic.

To achieve this, Beyoncé decided to feature the best artistes from the continent to give it the feel she wanted.
