Ghanaian football fans have expressed their views as to whether the Black Stars will win the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in the near future.
Prior to the 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt, Ghanaians confidently believed that Black Stars will lift the trophy but that dream disappeared in thin air.
The Black Stars failed to make the nation proud after failing to annex the title after losing to Tunisia.
Kwesi Appiah’s men lost 5-4 to the North African side on penalties after 1-1 in regulation time.
The team were then given a hostile welcome by Ghanaians upon their return from Egypt.
However, John Boye, in an interview described the team’s exit as disappointing, but insists it is time to move on and focus on bigger things.
The Metz centre-back believes it’s only a matter of time before the Black Stars put smiles back on the faces of Ghanaians.
“We are all disappointed but only God knows best. We just have to keep our heads up and keep going because this is not the end,” he said.
“Now, we have to put everything aside and concentrate on our club. But God has a way of doing things and we know that one day we will make Ghanaian laugh.”
