Sarkodie's wife, Tracy Sarkcess, has waded into the controversy surrounding the relationship between her husband and dancehall superstar, Shatta Wale.

It is a known fact that Sarkodie and Shatta Wale were one-time friends who had a relationship beyond music.

The two fell out sometime in October 2018 after Sarkodie dissed Shatta Wale with his Advice track as a reply to many 'attacks' on from the latter.

While the 'beef' seemed to have died, it has been rekindled in the last few days after it emerged that Shatta Wale had been featured on a Beyonce.

Following the announcement of the feature, Sarkodie just like many other artistes took to Twitter to congratulate Shatta Wale.

While Shatta retweeted many of the congratulatory messages he ignored that of Sarkodie claiming in a later interview that Sarkodie was hypocrite and did not really mean his words.

This outburst from Shatta Wale against Sarkodie sparked an outrage from some of Sarkodie's fans who took to social media to express their displeasure urging Sarkodie to stop trying to be friends with Shatta Wale.

For many of the fans, Sarkodie's diplomatic handling of issues with Shatta Wale had always been met with disrespect from the dancehall star and it was about he cut him off.

Some of the fan petitions have fallen on the doorstep of Sarkodie's wife, Tracy, on social media.

Replying to one guy who cited the Bible as a basis for Sarkodie to cut any relationship with Shatta Wale, Tracy also came with a Bible verse countering the fan's sentiments.

"I’m not a bible ace but I believe that’s in the Old Testament. In the New Testament, it also says, “love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you...” in Matthews 5," she wrote.

Responding to another fan's suggestion that Sarkodie should know that nobody in the music industry is his brother, Tracy called for more maturity in solving the issue as a short term measure was not going to work

"Hmm... I understand your sentiments about this whole issue but it is about maturity and how you deal with certain situations. Taking short-term decisions based on how you feel today can harm/come back to bite you in the long run. It’s about the journey not the goal/prize," she wrote.

Tracy Sarkcess also replied many other such tweets and her demeanour suggested that she supported a more diplomatic solution.
