Shatta Wale reveals plan to contest for political position - Shatta Wale

- Shatta Wale has revealed that he is not ruling out the option of contesting for a political position in Ghana

- He noted that if his fans and the Ghanaian people want his services, he will contest for a political position

- The Shatta Movement boss admitted that he loves to talk about the system because he is representing Ghanaians

Popular reggae and dancehall musician Shatta Wale known in real life as Charles Nii Armah Mensah has claimed that he can contest for a political position in Ghana.

According to the Shatta Movement boss, if his fans and Ghanaians in general want his services, then he will contest for a political position.

In an interview that was monitored by YEN.com.gh, Shatta Wale expressed his interest when it comes to politics.

"Politics is service to the people so if the people really want my services, why not," he said after being asked about his of political ambition.

"Just that we will be wondering which office I will take but basically as a citizen, I have the right to talk about certain issues," he added.

Shatta Wale noted that some his rants about the system emanate from what his fans who lament on social media and the streets about untold hardships they are facing.

The self-proclaiming king of African dancehall reiterated that Ghana is a village, lamenting the numerous challenges facing the country.

"Ghana in this era, we still have students sitting on stones, no chairs for them, our hospitals don't have ambulances," he jabbed.

"For me to run a political ambition, it will come by the grace of God and its my wish to help my people so if God says I should go and help my people, why not, I will do that for them," he confirmed.

Meanwhile, Shatta Wale was in the news recently for jabbing Sarkodie after the rapper congratulated him over his feature with Beyonce.

He stated that when he came out onto the music scene as Bandana, Sarkodie was in Junior High School.
