Ghanaian gospel singer, Ohemaa Mercy, has narrated her grass to grace story to the admiration of her fans and followers.

Ohemaa Mercy is regarded as one of the best gospels acts in Ghana right now.

The multiple award-winning singer has revealed the great sacrifice she made to become a gospel musician.

According to Ohemaa Mercy, she had to sacrifice her teaching career for her music ministry.

The ministry was getting bigger, hectic and I could not risk juggling the two jobs at the same time,” she told Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Monday, July 22, 2019.

The singer explained leaving the classroom, a job she loved, was not easy for her.

“I had to pray before releasing my music and eventually chose the music, I love the ministry a lot,” she added.

Ohemaa Mercy added that she has plans of opening her own school. “I just like seeing children in the classroom.”

Her sacrifice has given the industry great songs like ‘Onim Me’, ‘Aseda’, ‘Oyame Beye’, ‘Adom’ and many others.
