A lady has got social media buzzing after refusing her boyfriend's proposal in a video that has been trending online.

In the video that was sighted by YEN.com.gh, the young man was seen kneeling down in public as he proposed with a ring in his hand.

The lady who waited to listen to her boyfriend's proposal refused and walked away leaving the young man in a sad manner.

Instagram users on watching the video expressed their opinion on the drama:

@myzkeishapearl wondered why people propose in public: "I don't even understand why people still propose in public."

@ironbooi expressed pity for the young man: "Waaa see u wake up n build ur world around a woman thinking she’s the one, but u ain’t she’s seeing more than 3 men.. u are one of the spare tyres."

@romeo4419 claimed it is better to propose on the phone: "That is why I will ask u on the phone....tweeeaaa."
