Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi, the founder and leader of the Glorious Wave Church International, has come under heavy criticism for comments made about Asante women.

In a video that was sighted by YEN.com.gh, the controversial 'man of God' claimed that Asante women are greedy.

His comments seemed to have angered women from the Ashanti region as they have vowed to summon him before Otumfuo.

1. Prophet Badu Kobi is an Asante

Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi said in one of his videos that he is a native of the Ashanti Region.

Even though he did not mention his exact hometown, the pastor revealed that he is an Asante native.

It was however surprising that he will make damning comments about women from his own tribe.

In the video, he revealed that because he is from the Ashanti region, he knows the women very well to make such comments.

2. Prophet Badu Kobi's wife is an Asante

It has been revealed that Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi's wedded wife is also from the Ashanti region.

Gloria Badu Kobi who has been married to the Prophet for a long time is said to be an Asante woman.

It was however surprising that the preacher will make such derogatory comments about Asante women since his wife is also from that same tribe.

3. Prophet Badu Kobi once served under Rev. Owusu Bempah

Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi has revealed on many occasions that Rev. Owusu Bempah is his godfather.

He disclosed that when he came from Kumasi to Accra, he went to serve under Rev. Owusu Bempah.

Meanwhile, the preacher man and his godfather Rev. Owusu Bempah are currently at loggerheads over some argument.

4. Prophet Badu Kobi is a business mogul

Aside his pastoral work, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi is known to own several businesses in Ghana.

He is said to own variety of stores, car garages and other numerous businesses in Accra and Kumasi.

The preacher man is said to be rich as he has been captured gifting expensive cars to some members of his church and other pastors.
