Popular gospel singer Brother Sammy has revealed that he lied about the AIDS medicine he was selling before his arrest.
According to the singer, the medicine was given to him by his grandmother and not God, like he claimed initially.
In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh, Brother Sammy expressed regret for telling lies about his AIDS medicine.
"The medicine is for my grandmother who is very old and may be dying soon. She used to help people with the medicine," he disclosed.
When Brother Sammy came out with the medicine earlier, he claimed that it was God who gave him directions to produce the medicine.
After the host asked him why he is now saying the medicine was given to him by his grandmother, he replied "I lied about that, I lied, I don't want to talk much about it."

Brother Sammy's confession followed his release by the Food and Drugs Authority after he was arrested for selling unlicensed medicine.
Before his arrest, the gospel singer recorded a video of himself telling Ghanaians that he has been given a cure for AIDS by God.
He alleged that aside AIDS, the medicine was able to cure other illnesses like cancer, asthma, hypertension among others.
